Who's got a mod no one else has?
A few orginal ideas that found their way into my brain.
G&M A/C mod, because Ford forgot to add an A/C switch

Couldn't get the Hurst quiet enough, Adrian in NM was nice enough to get pics of the FX4 L2 selector tip for me, and the FX4 shifter mod was born
http://silvertank.batcave.net/FXShift.htm
PMI lights in the plastic XLT valance, $30 and 30 minutes with a drill
http://silvertank.batcave.net/PMI.htm
VDO volt gauge in the cubby hole, because I got tired of looking at it.
http://silvertank.batcave.net/Quick.htm
TPF stainless steel fender flares. Because I have chrome addiction issues.

Halo lights in offroad lights. Drunken experiment. Left one keeps frying the inverter, so I just leave them off. One day I gotta fix that.

Line of Fire using 3M tape. Nothing spectacular, but it discourages tailgaters at night. Good till they make the LED one for Stepsides.
http://silvertank.batcave.net/FireStrip.htm
GPS nav using an HP iPAQ and bluetooth. So original, no one else has copied it. Probably the cost has something to do with it. At least the mount is fairly original.

Color matched Fold-a-cover. Very few have one, and mine matches the truck. This was more a necessity mod, since black metal covers tend to heat up here in FL.

For a while I was fairly orginal with my polished calipers, but then they started rusting. Now just painted black like the rear drums.

I keep my "sketch" on hand at all times for cases like that....shows 'em where I'm headed...

Here are pics of the stock and modified 06 corners. I just followed the headlight mod instructions here, being careful not to pry too hard. I had to heat them twice for 10 minutes at 190F to get them to fully separate. The background and the rim of the clear lens were then painted satin black before reassembly.

I got one I am the only person that I know of with Magnum 500s on a first gen Ranger. They have ben on the truck for ~20 years so I think it is safe to say it was the first. Also had a Offy 4V Intake, and 390 CFM Holley Double-pumper for about as long so I am probably the first (only?) person on this site with that setup.

Bob I think ya need new rims! Your truck looks awesome and just soo clean, but the rims detract a little! Also, this may not be your boat, but some underglow would be pretty neat. IF ya needed you could make the underglow system yourself, then it'd be a mod!

i like bob's truck, cuz it all looks as if it could be some super awesome package from ford.
it's all so perfect and professional.
aftermarket rims would detract, in my opinion.
underglow on a fx4 lvl II? please no.

WEll, I'll post pics to show ya what I mean. IT's not like he's goin for offroading it seems anyways. And nobody believes underglow makes your truck go faster...

His looks really good with it..
I can't find the other guy with the silver truck, but I think it is the one that has airbags.
And it's an opinion guys, not like he's shoppin right now for them because I said so..
