On my truck I had a Flowmaster 40 series single in and dual out with 2.75in pipe. I have two stainless steel tips which are 3 by 18 and on a 45* angle. The flowmaster was keeping it to quiet so I cut it off and built a Y pipe. Then a little later I drilled out the cat and now it sounds great.

Thats exactly how I want mine to look. Except I'm going to have the tips more closer to the mud flaps.

hmm lets see

ive had/have..

1. Custom Magnaflow SI/DO 2.5/2.25 45s out the back $450
2. Custom Flowmaster 40 series SI/DO 2.5/2.25 45s out the back. $200
3. Custom Flowmaster 40 series SI/DO 2.5/2.25 tips cut off $free
4. Custom Borla XL SI/SO 2.25 dumped before the bumper $150

hands down the best one ive had is the borla, i like the magnaflow performance, and wish i could have had the tips from the flowmaster on the magnaflow setup. flowmaster was ok, sounded good but performance sucked.

there might also be another setup in the works, borla muffler with dual 3.5" tips strait out the back, i already have the tips, just havnt had it done yet or i cant decide.

number above corresponds to the number above/with the picture.

1.

2.

3.

4.

Since CT is way too strict with emmissions laws but really don't care about noise....

Everything from the Flange back to the Cats and motor are stock..

Everything from the the flange forward is gone!!

I just cut the muffler got some extra hangers and straight piped it out to the back with a square tip.. Looks pretty cool and sounds bad a$$ when you get on it..

Thinking about the GIBSON dual exhaust kit that summit racing has for the 3.0 v6.. a complete dual exhaust Bolt-On for $275 shipped is a good deal..

Flowmaster 40. Single in dual out 2.25 with tips. I might change it to something else, like dumping it after the axle...dunno yet.

Hey Kkboyd- If you take off your bumpers plastic covering and paint it black like I did, it REALLY makes a difference! Im planning on doing my front valance next

Hadn't thought of that. Might be just the thing. I think it might help set off the chrome tips a little more.
