my ranger is coming up on 50,000 miles and i want to change the trans,t-case, and diff fluids...has anybody ever done this and how hard is it to do

 

I didn't think the fluid needed to be changed that soon

I've never done and I'm up to 102X

 

The t-case is simple, use the drain plug to drain the fluid and use the fill plug to refill.
For the diff(s) pull off the cover to drain, put it back on with either a gasket or sealant and refill using the plug.
If you have a manual trans it's pretty much the same deal as the t-case. If you have an auto, it's a little more difficult. Your best bet may be to take it and have it flushed. If you don't want to do that you just drop the pan, change the filter and refill through the dipstick tube.

 

i checked the t case fluid and it was real dirty

The diff fluid have a long life fluid in them for 100k miles or more and does not require changing unless you were in water. Or if it is real dirty. If it has L/S get the friction modifier

 

no need for the differentials. but i would recommend changing the t-case and transmissions.

 

I've been told that transmission fluids should be changed every 40~50k miles.
