Was working when this happened. I noticed all of a sudden a good loss of power then check engine like started flashing. Engine was running horrible and sounded rough. Had to get it towed back to the house. I didn't trust driving it. Pulled a P0301. Dont have the money to fix anything either. So now both the ranger and contour are not driveable. On an upside i have a oreo bk sunday shake to help cope with it. However on another upside. My mom's financial adviser said we might have access to some of the other money non life insurance related.

That sucks.. Truck looks good though i love it.. Though it was gone though?

 

Check your plugs and wires mike. That code is normally for a cylinder 1 misfire. Might be an easy fix like a loose wire or something.

Damn man that sucks a big fat one for real! like said just check plugs and wires it's prolly something simple.

 

if its just a cylinder 1 misfire I think he would have made it home, my girlfriends firebird was missing on 2 and 5 and i drove it like that for 2 weeks because I wasn't paying to fix 2 cars, and i accidentally cranked up a chebby 350 today on just the drivers side firing (I adjusted the valves and had to check to see if the skip was gone)
