rollercoaster day....

so my day started pretty good, I was setup to buy a nice 96 altima w/ low miles, AC and power everything, for $1000.0. UP
got up early to get ready to drive to get it (2.5 hr drive, 1 way) and luckily the person actually kept their word and let me know someone had beat me to it and bought the car... DOWN
so then I was able to get a job done that I had scheduled for this afternoon. so I got in touch with the guy and asked if I could do it now and he was happy to oblige rambo: UP
then the job itself goes downhill, first, a screw that shouldnt have broke, did... DOWN
then I had to drill the screw out, and during that process, I *literally* drilled through my finger... WAYYY DOWN
went into the meaty part just past the hand proper, and came out the other side by the first knuckle...
found out my wife has some good pain killers UP
then another screw breaks.... and our drill tip broke so I have to go buy another one... DOWN
that job finished and get free lunch along with a reference for another job BIG UP
get ready for next part of the job, starts to rain. small DOWN
rain ends, and the last part of the job goes like clockwork and I finish in 1/3 normal time UP
the person Im working for owns the unit next to me, and is talking to a few people to get me work, so I told him I wasnt going to charge him for the work I did, but he says "if you dont take this I'll refuse to speak with you again" and gives me $40.0. UP

hopefully, my ride is done for the day, I cant take another big down....

Well at least on the bright side you have some work ahead of you now. I've never drilled through my finger but I drilled about half way through my dads. He was holding something while I drilled the a hole. The bit punched through and pinned his finger between the bit and another piece of steel. By the time I got it stopped his finger was pretty tore up. He got even with me by wiping the blood all over the side of my 69 Mach 1 that just had a brand new paint job on it. I couldn't help it I had to laugh.

its raining outside now, but hopefully tomorrow there will be enough light where it happened to get some pics of the blood spatter on the wall.

me too.
when it first happened, I was mostly concerned whether I had hit the bone. Im assuming I at least scraped along it, but I dont think I did any damage as it doesnt hurt anything like damaged bones do

glad you didnt cut your toe off, that would truly suck.

it hurt a lot worse after it happened.
when it did happen, it was so quick, it felt almost like just a slight tug on my skin. but as soon as I removed the drill blood shot about 3-4 ft away onto the wall, then it was just a steady stream from both wounds, and then it started to hurt real bad.

I checked that out and Im up to date with a booster shot within the past couple of yrs. you really only have to get a booster every 7 yrs after the first 3, I think its 3... not that it matters, Ive had at least 5 or 6 now.

that sucks man those kind of are a pain in the butt for a couple weeks. Hand injuries really bother me when I start to forget about them then SMACK you bump something and suddenly remember you almost cut off your finger a few days ago. hope it feels better.

oohhh.... yeessss...
on average, I hit it at least 4-5 times a day, and that is not even including when my son and I mess around, he of course, hits it a LOT more often than I do, but I cant get mad at him because every time he does and see's me flinch, he says "sorry" and gives me a kiss for my booboo
