decent day turned into a great day!

So I dont think I ever really posted this issue but after I hit that huge hole in the field the truck never really turned that well to the right you had to turn the wheel like 90* to the right before I got response out of it. Extremely frustrating! I thought I had destroyed the toyota steering box but I had been to lazy to replace it.

So for like the last month I just gripe about the issue and think about how I could fix it or what could even be wrong.

Well tonight I was working on my new efan and getting the shroud all mounted up(PITA btw) and I notice when I turn the steering wheel to the right while sitting still it makes a lot of noise. Come to find out the steering box is really loose on the frame and is rocking back and forth. lol Really safe I might add.

Anyway tightened it all up drives freaking awesome now, I love it, feel so much better about it, now I can stew over why it pulls to the right while I brake. lol

haha I had the same problem after I took my truck out to barstow , ca for its 1st beat down. once I got back on the road and was making a swooping right it didn't want to turn and I ended up over the double yellow lines nearly hitting an on coming car. I figured my rack was shot. turns out the two bolts that hold it tight were loose go figure. glad your problem was an easy fix like mine.

ah i am not really sure what that problem is, some say depends which wheels has the most weight on it.

So i could lighten up one side and make another heavier, not sure what to do to it.

go at a decent speed and lock the brakes up in the gravel (with the abs off of course) and have someone watch to see if the right one locks up before the left. Then the pressure is just off.

worst scenario is the axle is at an angle

Its always nice when it is an easy fix. But it always sucks when it is an easy fix and you wait to fix it getting more and more frustrated along the way.
