Got Rollpan in.. accident/insurance update

Well my Mar-K rollpan arrived today. Quality looks good. Can't wait to get it all on.

I got my call back from the insurance agent today. She apologized that I did not recieve a copy of their estimate, and said she'd mail one to me, and I could have the shop where I would be getting the repairs done call them for "corrections." I don't know exactly how much this is going to complicate getting my exhaust replaced by the same shop that installed it, since they're obviously not a body shop.

Also, it occurred to me that I have a chance now to switch to the single side-exit (in front of the wheel) exhaust I had wanted initially.. decisions decisions...

btw, can anyone recommend a good hidden-hitch for with a mar-K rollpan?

I'd be surprised if he wanted to sell it to me.

are you going to have the rollpan painted and bolted on, or are you going to have it smoothed into the fenders?

Just painted and bolted, I don't really see the need for smoothing. My truck is definitely not a show truck.

yeah i'm probably going to do the same thing hehe. too much hassle & extra cost to get it smoothed, although it does look sweet.

Not to put down anybodys' custom trucks, but smoothed-in rollpans have always looked slightly out of place to me.. nowhere else on my truck are any of the body panels welded together, why should the rollpan be any different? Now if I was going to shave my tailgate, doorhandles, etc., that would be different, but my sheetmetal is going to stay stock, so I think a bolted in pan looks "right."
