Icon5 1999 Ranger XLT with 186,000 miles

My husbands F-250 was totaled last week by the insurance company after someone hit it. He's looking at a really nice looking, very clean, 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with lots of extras on it but it has 186,000 miles on it. It's a one owner and appears to have been maintained well but with that much mileage he's hesitating. What's the general feeling about considering this for a fishing and go to coffee truck to putter around in? The interior looks like new and it has a canopy and some built in storage in the back. It's tempting!

The big question is, how much? If the price is right and he/you like it then go for it. I'd have a reputable mechanic look it over before you commit though.

If its not going to be a DD and the price is right, then why not? It sounds like a good weekend ride if you ask me. Do you have pics of it?

Well if the price is right, you can always swap a motor or trans when you need too. The only other concern would be the rearend, driveshafts, shocks, and wheel bearings...If its nice buy it.
