So its been doin this for awhile and id figure I should fix it by winter. Any ideas on what could cause the engine too whistle? It gets louder as I accelerate. But its quiet enough that I have to turn my stereo off to hear it.

 

Probably the IAC(Idle Air Control). Thats what it was when my engine was doing that. Common problem.

I am also gonna say the IAC happened to me started off as a quiet whistle then after 2 months became a loud whistle that could be heard a mile a way.

 

How do I fix the IAC\

 

do you have an aftermarket air filter? replace the IAC

 

It's easy just 2 bolts right on the side of the throttle body if I remember correctly and a wire and that's it. A new one costs around $35.
