What is this part?

96 Ranger Supercab 3.0 AT

Can someone tell me what this part is? I found it on the floorboard in front of the driver's seat. I assumed it came from the seat but don't see where anything's missing under there. Local dealer is no help.

Possibly one of the seat bolts, but I'm not an expert.

The outer part was a resistance-welded threaded "nut" and the inside is the remnants of a broken off bolt. Judging from the ruler, it was probably 5/16" or 8mm diameter. Find the steel piece with the three matching weld marks and that's where it came from.
