New exhaust?

Im strongly considering upgrading my ranger's exhaust system. I have a 2008 xlt 2wd with a 3.slow liter engine.

My main concern is how a new exhaust sounds on a 3.0 ltr. My greatest fear is going through all the trouble only to find the truck sounds like a ricers fart can.

Gibson I hear is one of the easiest to install, and has a mellower rumble at low speeds and nearly none at high.

Flowmaster ive been told produces a very loud throaty rumble, even audible from within the cabin.

What do you guys recommend, if anything?

Thanks :)

there was a flowmaster on mine when we bought it then immediately had a magnaflow put on it....sounds good but you dont have that annoying resonance inside the cab like you get with a flowmaster.

yes on the highway it drives me nuts but thats why i have a nice stereo system to drown it out haha
I need to get it re-run out the back of the truck because its dumped above the rear axle right now and its way louder inside

I have magnaflow and it sounds great. Does not sound rice at all. Doesn't sound like a big block either though.

Gibson is a good system, sounds decent, affordable (if you get the aluminized system) and easy to install in your driveway. The stainless system is the same, costs a little more, but will last until you get rid of the truck.
