I'm 99% sure that these fluids are perfectly fine to use ... however, I'd much rather ask a stupid question now than to not ask and be 99% wrong and damage my truck in a few months. hahaha

I recently changed my oil and topped my fluids. I was lazy and left the unused brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid (with added Stop Leak) in the driveway all weekend. The snow came, it is got buried deep in snow and ice. It is capped, so no water should've got inside. Is it safe to still use? Or is the possability of it's freezing (or small chance of water working into the bottles threw the cap) a risk and I should trash?

If they were completely closed they will be fine ,with the exception of the brake fluid.
Once the container is opened , if not sealed tight will draw water.

 

So, then, the brake fluid being a problem has less to do with freezing and more to do with being open? So, I should buy a fresh can of it every time I top it off?

 

as long as you close it as soon as your done with it no. brake fluid is designed to absorb moisture. they do this to keep all your internal brake parts from corroding.

 

Depending on the year of your truck you need transmission fluid in the power steering not the fluid you got.
