I Want to Integrate my Running Lights with Turn Signals

Hi,

My 2005 Ranger has got only 48,000 miles and is in "cherry condition" is garage kept and I am always doing something to have her "Look Her Best".

My plan is to hook up my running board lights with both turn signals (actually I want to just have the amber light blink with each signal) for safety as well as for good looks.

The lights are mounted like this:

On both sides of truck I have installed 2 blue lights (Fore) 2 amber lights (Middle) and in the Aft position I have 2 red ones.

So logic would be to use the amber for turning...but here is my deal...All 6 lights are on 1 circuit, with a switch in the cab. No relay is used since this is very low amperage....I went ahead and ran wiring to the one amber for a test & since they are on one switch all 6 light blinked, so that is not what I want, needless to say.

By using a relay could I somehow just get the middle amber(s) to blink with their respective turn signals? Also I would want the amber(s) to still be operative with the other running lights...Would I have to run another circuit for the amber(s) or just get another pair of amber(s) & mount them in another spot on the boards?

Thanks in advance Steve

there is a hot-to to get the side ambers to blink with the signals but as far as i know/have ever heard, blue lights on the front are illegal. have to be amber, and you need a front signal anyway
