I've posted in the interior forum but not had any help..

I did a console remove to replace lights in the dash, didn't do the LED's didn't have the money for it, nor the time to let the truck sit around dis-assembled.

Took everything apart put the lights in put everything back the same way.

Now, with the keys, and lights, off, the door dings with the door open.

I like the door ding, and do not wish to do a door ding delete...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also did use some super glue on the headlight dial, rubberized/shock resistant gorilla glue, is it possible it's completing a circuit for the door ding?

I'd really like to figure this out without having to take the console apart again, it's so old pieces break every time I take something apart.

 

Figured it out, lol.

The ignition piece that determines if the key is in the ignition was dislodged and touching a ground.

I just insulated it, since I couldn't get it back in.
