hey fellas hows it goin...well im on a search for grilles...im not too sure exactly how to put them in and dont really know how they work...im looking at these:

i havent messed around with the stock grille...but i did notice screws on the top of them so i'm just wondering if its just a matter of unscrewing the old grille and screwing a new one on...i've also seen grilles before that go behind the grille or over it..so please some help would be wonderful guys! thanks a bunch

I would be hesitant about buying a no-name billet grille off eBay. A guy I know did and the quality of it is just plain bad. I helped him put it on and it didn't fit right. We did get it on, but up close you can definately tell that the fit of the grille is not perfect.

 

i think with those you have to cut the crossbars and the vertical bars off, then that goes inside...

 

you have to trim the stock grille


the top is bolted in the bottom snaps in

soo how do i go about trimming the stock grille? what kinda tools etc.

that is very true...and mine is chrome... that took about 3 hrs!

 

if your patience outweighs your wallet, you can buy a fiberglass shell and grille, so you dont have to cut anything, but be prepared to spend around 200

 

I bought my no-name upper and lower billet grilles off Ebay 2 years ago, they fit perfect and the quality is good, I used a dremel to cut out the bulk of the stock grille, and then I used a belt sander to get it all smooth and even.

 

I also bought a no name, works great! I only need to find another way to have the bottom snap in because the damn thing broke!

 

yeaa im not good with tools or anything sooo yea i guess its stock grille for me :sad

 

It's not hard to do really, just keeping a steady hand and patience is key, I still have to smooth mine a bit closer to the chrome when I get back!
