1999 Ranger Gas Pedal Lag?

I was wondering if it was only my 99 Ranger or if everybody else's ranger has the same lag/very sensitive gas pedal? Not really a big concern of mine, but if it a simple or easy fix, what the hell.

Look up "throttle cable mod." It will help with the lag. Basically putting a zip tie on the throttle cable for the pedal to take the slack out of the cable.

Looked at my cable today, Not that much slack in there, I would say i'd be able to get 1 Zip Tie in there and It should be good. Thanks Again.

Ya what you do is lift your gas pedal and see how much slack you cable has. Mine has 3 or 4 zip ties in there now with room for 1 or 2 more. I plan on ordering a new cable for mine when I do my V8 swap since 6 zips is way too much :D But ya, throttle response is MUCH better once you take that damn slack out of that line!

The zips I used are about 12" in length, so not very tiny I dont think. I'll try to get my camera in there and take a pic.
