If you haven't been to the Rocky Mountains...you need to

My buddy and I went up to the mountains this weekend. We were trying to go fishing at a lake which was at 11000 feet. Well the trails were snowed over so we just spent the day exploring lower Forest Service roads in the area. There are ridiculous trails everywhere just an hour west of Denver. I have to get more action pics next time. Some of these trails were pretty bad and I was amazed the Ranger made it through everything with only a little scratched paint, and new steel showing on a lower control arm, and some scratches on the driveshaft. We did find some great stopping points which provided great photo opportunities.

It is great. If you ever head out towards Denver and want to do some wheeling, just let me know. It is ridiculous. I can't imagine a more beautiful place to wheel other than the Rockies.

Great pics. Which trail was the giant mud hole at?

LOL, sounds like my truck after lefthand canyon.

Nice pics. The mountains are great. Love your truck.

Zane...did you see the meet and greet thread in the M&G section? June 24th....you should join us. Have a few Ranger owners and Ford enthusiasts from other forums going.

That looks like Kingston Peak. Up near Central City. Ran it a couple times in my Bronco but the mud puddle was never that big. I need to get up there and run it again

Those are great pics. I'm suprised I havent seen your Ranger around. I am driving through Broomfield all the time.

James last time we ran that trail the pond was frozen over. It was a pretty good trail.

Chris98 is correct, it was Kingston Peak. We were hoping to go all of the way up to Loch Lomond, but I didn't even think about snow still being up there...We didn't have much snow in late May back in Kansas lol. The rest of the pics are from random FS roads between the Kingston Peak trail going down towards Alice/St. Marys.

We ran Gordon Gulch the previous weekend and there are some pretty awesome trails & mudholes on the FS "roads" on the south side of the main trail if you've never been up there.

I did see the meet & greet which sounds awesome because I love Oskar Blues. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'll be in Mexico that week or I would go.

I haven't seen any of your Rangers either...I live by 120th/Main in Broomfield, but generally only drive around the west side of Broomfield.

LordofWar sold his Ranger 6 or so months ago...so you won't be seeing his.

I drive through Broomfield everyday as well. Right past 120th and Main as a matter of fact. But its always at the same time of day so no surprise I never see your rig.
