Moving from 22192 to 42431

Well, looks like my days here in VA are numbered. I will be moving to Madisonville, KY in a few weeks (if my job transfer goes thru), then moving to Evansville, IN a few months later for school, work, and life. I have debated renting a 10' truck and an auto transport to tow my truck. I work for U-Haul, BTW. With the price exceeding $800 for that combo, my backup plan will probably move to the front. I will most likely rent a 4'x8' trailer, which at that point is somewhere along the line of $175 for the trailer before any discount. I am not going to be towing much, just a bunch of light boxes and such. Just enough stuff that can't fit in the truck.

What needs to happen to prepare my truck for this 800mi trip?
I know my oil is due for a change soon, so I will do that. I need to drain/fill my trans fluid again per my mechanics orders. My coolant has probably never been changed after the engine was replaced, so flush and fill?
Anything else?

If you drive your truck every day without any issues, 800miles isn't going to matter. Oil changes are always good. I drive 1000 miles a few times a year and once did 2500 miles and I never really worried about preparation.

If you keep up on routine maintenance, nothing. Just load up and go.
