Getting ready for a Road Trip.

So I am about to take my Ranger up to Washington D.C. from Tampa, FL, and then back in just a week (about 950 miles each way, so 1900 miles in 7 days). I was just wondering what you guys think I need to do before I leave and what I should bring with me on the trip.

My Tranny has new fluid, I replaced Coolant a few months ago, and I am about to Sea Foam. After the Sea Foam I am changing my engine oil, fuel filter, air filter, and maybe my spark plugs. I also, put on new windshield whippers, topped off the windshield fluid, added RainX, and will be installing all new LED lights.

Thanks.

SEARCH!

There is seriously a new thread on this every week. If you drive it everyday just get in it and go. 1900 miles is not that much.

I did search, and I read the ones I saw. That is where I got most of these ideas of things to do. I just wanted to make sure I am not missing something very important. I have 220,000+ miles on my Ranger so anything over 500 miles seems long to me. lol

How long since your Diff Lube has been changed, if not change it.
Since you changed all of the other fluids it can’t hurt.

Are the exhaust pipes in good order, no heavy rusting; it would $uck to have a pipe open up and have to listen to the rumble all the way back; take an exhaust repair kit along.

Just thinking out loud.
Luck on the trip and IF you come up further, say to MA, I have a task for you on the return trip. LOL...
