3" BL and Tow Hitch

Hey all!

I'm still saving up the dough so i can do my overhaul of my "new" truck. I don't know if any of you all remember me or my plans but I plan on lifting, all terrain tires, new bilstiens shocks, add-a-leaf in the rear, winch bumper, exhaust, and other small cosmetic mods. On to my question... I really want to throw some 33's on and have a good bit of lift on my truck... I was thinking a 3" BL but it just popped into my mind that i might have and issue with the hitch hanging too low... I have a 99 Ranger Extended with the 4.0L and tow package. I posted previously about towing my boat to the river almost every weekend and with some negative and positive reply's im still going to be doing it anyways with my truck (Will be installing a brake controller before towing) Will my hitch be hanging down too low with a BL? what other lift options would you recommend in the sameish price range if it will hang too low!?

Thanks,
Spence

body lift doesn't affect the hitch, therefore won't affect towing.

It's interesting how some peoples barely hang down, and others are down to what almost looks like a foot! Why is this? Is it the different kits people used, or model of the truck?

People's are different because of different hitch brands/models. Factory hitches hang down quite a bit.

I'm hate the look of the hith hanging all low like that. The spare tire also hangs low after you do a BL. I took mine out and put it in the bed.

Is there a way to correct the low hanging hitch, because i have the factory tow package so it will hang out a good bit... What types of mods can be done?

This is the only *** end shot I have of my truck since body lifting it lol.

It's a factory hitch that use to be pretty much hidden behind my bumper before the lift. In all honesty I really don't even notice that it's hanging low until a thread like this pops up. It doesn't look half as bad in person as it does in this picture.

3" body lift with 4" suspension lift, next 35" tires

as you can see i havent lifted the bumper yet, when i do i will just flip the center section of the hitch over so the receiver is on top instead of on bottom like it is now
