Would you get these license plates...

Would you get these license plates if you had the choice ?

I got a free myplates.com code sent to me from a contest, was looking through their selection, and saw these..

Doesn't look too bad... do you get your plate number on the rest of it or is it just a vanity plate sort of thing for the front?

If I lived in Texas, I still wouldn't get one.

It's for the registration of the vehicle, not just a front vanity

Yeah, that's just how it looks on the website, Texas has a 3rd party vendor that does specialty plates, they either issue you a random number or you can pay extra and pick your own letters/numbers.

I don't particularly care for them, and I probably wouldn't consider getting one period except that they sent me a free code, the previous plates are pretty bad (the ones I have now) and the new one is the most plain and ugly plates I've ever seen..

That's pretty cool that you can do that though. We have all the same white with blue letters, the only option you have is getting a graphic on the left or picking your own letters/numbers. I don't know what they're up to now, but I bought my personalized ones 4 or 5 years ago and they were $237.

They offer tons here, most through the state, but the 3rd party myplates.com offers a bunch too. Actually, living in Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana as well, they also had tons of choices. You guys north of the border should demand more :)

I would. That's pretty sweet. What Adam said is right, I dunno about pricing tho. We also have truck ones that are random letters/numbers, they are white w/ black letters. I got lucky, my truck is 4wd and mine is 147 4WD. It just happened.

Looks OK, what goes in the blank space.

In MA you need the regular front plate.

In Illinois you can buy about 30 different styles of plates, but they must be on both front and back. With the Ranger being a" Carry-All" it has to have a "B" plate (Business) on it. Having a B plates means that I can't park it on the street in front of my house. But if you have a Hummer, Suburban , Expedition or anything else thats 3 times the size of the Ranger its ok! Whata joke!!!!

Yeah, thanks for the replies, I gave my free coupon code to my mother, she bought Texas issued Kentucky Wildcats plates..

I'm just going to keep my regular state issued plates.

Good call. Don't wanna dirty the look of the ranger with a tacky plate.
