Is it for looks or mounting lights or for actual roll over protection?
there are big differences, i.e. bed mounted or frame mounted

Best place for a deal is a wrecking yard, most damaged trucks are from collisions not rollovers so this part will be undamaged.

The roll bar would be for mounting lights. Yeah I guess I'll check some junk yards and stuff. Thanks guys

KC also sold a light bar for a few years that goes over the cab. You may be able to find one used. I personally like custom headache racks.

I had a roll bar for about 9 years. Then it began to rust and fall apart. It's now somewhere as scrap.

A back rack doesn't look the same as a sport bar but it does give you the light mounting, etc.

I have a backrack on my truck... I modified the mounting brackets, so I could use my tonneau cover.... Mine is held on with a total of 8bolts lol.

Bought mine on Craigslist for $100.

I'm sure it would add some roll over protection, but aside from that it works great as a light mount. I have 4KCs on mine, as well as a great place to hook tied owns when the bed is stuffed

I have the BackRack and it has my bed lights/backup assist lights right now and will carry my antenna array when finished.
They are sturdy enough to hold off-road lights, antennas and emergency lights, almost anything.
BUT, I wouldn't count on it to help in a roll over.

Not a hater, I rolled with one for five+ years but a lot of people think they are "Roll Bars" and most are no more than Light Bars.

Here is a couple I found:

Truck Roll Bars for Pickup Trucks

Truck Roll Bars - Best Prices & Reviews on Bed Bars for Trucks & Stainless Steel Roll Bars for Sale

Both site have bars but they do not mention the Ranger, maybe a problem where the Ranger has gone out of production.

Well the biggest issue with the backracks isn't that their not well made, 2" square steel all welded... There'd hold the weight in a rollover.

The problem is the mounting. They mount to side rails of your bed which is nothing more than sheet metal and has laughable structural strength. The bars will hold the weight but the bed will crush like an empty beer can

Exactly... the same as the infamous sport/Light Bars that are connected to sheet metal.

So are we over this...

Roll arranger, get what you want and the look you want that is all there is to it !
