needing advice on rear bumper.help plz

I need to replace my rear bumper and brackets on my 99 ranger xlt, it has the body of a ford splash, wondering what other years would fit on it and if it has to be the style side bumper. Thanks again for all the help you all have given to me

Not sure of the years but Ranger didn't change much in the rear.
I have a '95 bed on my '03 chassis, the bumper came from a MA Ranger Owner, not sure of the year of the bumper, sorry.

You need a Steppie or Flair side Bumper, the style side will not fit, wrong cut outs, width might work.
Only problem, most of the OEM Bumpers on Steppies have rotted out before ever making it to the JY.
If you are interested in an aftermarket Rear Steppie Bumper, check out my rear bumper, made by Custom 4x4 Fabrication, in OK. Mike, the owner, does GREAT work and has a design for a rear Step side bumper.

I just replaced mine on my 99 xlt. I also have the splash sides.I was in desperate need to replace it and was unable to find anything with the splash sides, so I just took a step bumper off a 98, had to trim it some, but it fits...not as snug as the original. I refused to pay over 200.00 for one from ford, cost me 45.00
