Not sure if this is really a problem, but it is kind of annoying. When I have my A/C on, my windshield develops moisture on the outside of it along the strip where my defroster blower is located. Obviously, I can just use my windshield wipers to wipe away the moisture, but that is kind of annoying to do every minute or so. Any idea of why this is happening? I have never had a vehicle do this before.

 

Obviously there is a lot of humidity and the cold window is causing it to condense on the glass. Either turn the cabin temperature up or use the cabin vents to get the air away from the windshield.

 

Blend door problem?

 

The air is cold when I set it, and it's hot when I set it to heat. I think it's just the cold air coming out up top that is hitting the inside of my windshield causing the moisture build up. I guess my question is why is so much cold air coming out of the vents on the top of my dash?

 

Are you sure this isn't your first vehicle? lol. Every vehicle I've owned (besides my motorcycles) have done this... irritating as f***. lol

 

My truck doesn't do it. Has to be a leak in the flap that directs air to the different vents. When set to air conditioning, cold air should be coming out of the dash vents.

 

Can you feel any air being directed at the windshield when the A/C is on? As already stated by another poster, the blend door that directs the flow of air may not be working completely, and is allowing some air to be directed towards the windshield. This cool air being directed at the inside of the windshield glass, with outside warm air, causes the glass to condinsate.

If you've ever had a dash apart, or have removed the center radio bezel, you may have noticed the small strips of foam that are used to seal air vents or door flaps. This foam gets dry, and will literally flake apart when touched. This will obviously leave behind a poor seal. So if this is the case with one of your flaps that closes or directs the flow of air to a particular vent or vents (based on the switch in the lower center of your dash, below the radio), you'd have air "leaking" into another area of the ductwork.
