Does anyone else have a regular cab 4.0 or is this a fluke?

Yes, not rare but uncommon as the regular cab buyer was usually concerned with MPG, so smaller engine was the usual choice and lighter regular cab chassis.
But the 4x4 part makes it even less common, adds weight so lowers MPG, so a niche market vehicle

Yes very cool, the Regular cab 4.0l and 4x4 is not common, the same setup with a short bed is rare

This was my 06 XLT 4.0 4X4, I traded it in for an F150 last year.
I almost miss it.

Yes it's a long bed. It was my shop truck so I needed the length.

When I was looking for a reg cab 4.0L, ironically like the one above with a 7' bed there was 6 at dealers in Canada in the early y2k's.

Most were dealer ordered as said most regular cab short beds were fleet trucks and most commonly had 4 bangers. Even with the weight of 4wd i bet that thing moves with the 4.0.

It does move out good, even though the 4x4 adds some weight, you lose the weight of the longer bed, longer frame, and longer cab. The weight on the door sticker is 4760.

That's not much difference to an ext cab. Mine with a half a tank of gas weighs in at around 4350. I've checked when I brought things to the dump.
