Hello all! Here is my 97 4wd 4.0 auto. 1500 bucks to work with. What would you go with if it was yours? Thanks for your opinions!

Sounds like that would be a nice rig, but I think you might have seen an extra 0! Thanks for the reply, though!

Agreed, he said $1,500... not $15,000.

Assuming it runs great.. I would maybe do a body lift and new tires/rims and get some 06+ mirrors and get rid of those ugly flag mirrors.

Haha, thanks, yes, she runs good. 146000 miles. Not perfect, going to need a headliner but I can get the interior after I get the exterior where I want it.

Nice truck!

I would do a body lift with some 33s. Then if you have funds leftover get a tuner for a little more power and to fix your speedometer for the bigger tires.

Thinking bout this tire package. 4Wheel Drive Hardware Part ADD33PCTXMT2STLTJ-4 - Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 Tire and Pro Comp Wheel Package - Set of 4 - Fits 1987 to 2006 Wrangler, Rubicon and Unlimited - 4 Wheel Drive 3 inch body lift (PA853) MAYBE some nerf bars and a tuner.

Those would look good and work very well with a body lift.

Tuner > Nerf Bars

Actually you might not be able to change the speedometer with a tuner. I'm pretty sure the 97s have VSS system, and I have no clue how those can be calibrated.

Any tuner recommendations, then?
