Exhaust System Recommendations

Hey everyone!
Hope all is well! I'm looking to replace the exhaust system on my 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 SOHC. Possibly might replace the catalytic converter and headers also. Just wondering what you all recommend! I would greatly appreciate the input! Thanks!

Just installed this on my 2000 3.0 and it sounds good, not really loud but has nice tone. Ordered mine from Autozone for $177.99 it had a 20% off code and free ship to home. Dynomax Ultra Flo/Exhaust System Kit - Performance 39315 at AutoZone.com Here is a video of it on a 4.0. Hope this helps you.

Don't waste your money on aftermarket headers. They are expensive and the stock ones already have great flow for midrange power. The most popular aftermarket headers (JBA) just move the powerband lower, but do not increase power.

Hey RedRanger, thanks so much buddy. I never would've known that. It's great to have Ranger owners on here like you guys. Much obliged.

Ya I think I'm leaning towards a Dynomax system.

FYI OP, for exhaust recommendations (and tires) you are going to get different reviews all over the place. Honestly, your best bet is to hit youtube and try to listen to different exhausts on there.

^ what he said.

While you're on YouTube, look at Spintech. Very underrated IMO.
