How big of a lift do I need to put 33s on

Was thinking about putting 33s on my 2011 ranger 4x4 sport, how big of a lift will I need to get away with no rubbing, just a leveling kit possibly? Anyone done this to there's?

As I understand it, the only stock height difference between your 2011 and my 1999 is the torsion keys, a relatively easy / cheap fix.
On my 99, I'm running 33's with a small torsion crank (3 turns on each side). There is some rubbing at full lock, but that should go away when I add a 1" body lift. Total investment is about $25 for the camber alignment bolt kit, $50 for the body lift spacers and bolts, and $50 for rear lift blocks.

Ok so if I went 2 inches in the front and and 1 inch in the rear to bring it level I shouldn't have any issues. Only thing I'm wondering is if the wheel well are the same in your 99?

Just did some reading and it looks like ford lowered rangers from 08 on to increase mpg and better handling, the block under the rear end is about an inch smaller and the tortion keys are diffenent, so I wouldn't be able to get 33s in the front without rubbing even with the stock tortion keys cranked, I'll probly go with a 3 inch lift all around and then tighten up the tortion keys a bit to somewhat level it...

Nothing wrong with installing a 3" lift, but you may not need to go that far. You can use the keys off an earlier Ranger with no problem, or they're available at a reasonable price from the dealer as I recall. Nothing changes on the rear, you just use a different sized block.

A lot depends on the width of 33" tire you want to install. A 10.5x33" tire is a pretty easy fit with the torsion bar lift. I did it with a 1.5" torsion bar lift and only had to bend the front mud flap mounting brackets a little to get no rubbing at near full turn. The rears fit with stock height on my 02 Ranger. If you want 12.5x33" tires, you will most likely need a body lift.

That's a good point. I'm actually running 285/75-16, so a bit over 11" wide.
