i have a 92 ranger with 2.3 and i have a wrecked 92 with a 4.0 both manual and 4x4 what would i have to do to swap the 4.0 into the 2.3 ranger

 

Need 4.0l engine and transmission, transfer case from either will work

4.0l computer and engine wiring harness for the computer
Remove 2.3l engine bay cross brace
Install 4.0l motor mounts
4.0l exhaust system
4.0l radiator

You will need some crossover wiring splices for power and grounds, just have to do those one at a time, there no diagram for it

If the frame is not bent on the 4.0l a body swap might be easier
