Brakes 98 ford ranger

About a 5 to 8 weeks ago I had some parts on the rear brakes fixed. Now when I press the brake, it now starts soft like it did before but now when it gets to a certain spot with still little pressure pushed on the petal. It feels like the brakes go from like 15-20% to what feels like 100% because now the brakes lock up after just pressing a little on the petal. When I had gotten my brakes looked at before it would lock up a lot. So I don't know if what was fixed before is not damaged or broken again after only about 1,000 to 1,200 miles.

Manual or automatic transmission?

Do you know if you have 2 wheel ABS or 4 wheel ABS?

Hold out Parking brake release handle and pump the Parking brake pedal, see pedal gets higher, it will if rear brakes were out of adjustment
