Removing Battery for extended parking. Anti Theft

I park my 2000 Ranger for two weeks and as on of my anti theft efforts I remove the battery. Does pulling the battery and reconnecting every two weeks damage the electrical system? Someone allready failed at one hot wire attempt. I guess its a poor mans kill switch.

It won't hurt the Ranger at all to have battery disconnected for any length of time

If battery is a pain to take in and out you could disconnect the battery cables and use a cable and padlock to lock them so they can't reach the battery

Might also look at locking the hood release handle in the cab
