2011 Ranger Sport 4x4 Manual
My keyless remote stopped working so I replaced the battery and still didn't work. So I bought a new one and after going through programming steps it still does not work. So I called the key FOP place to assure I was doing everything right and I was and apparently one of the easier key to program. They asked if there were any error codes which may cause the problem and there is, the TPMS is on which is because one is new and it hasn't been programmed.
Could this be my issue?
Is there anything else I can check like a transponder or something?

No, TPMS light won't effect FOB

Transponder key is something else, if engine starts then transponder key is working

Keyless entry is a separate system
I assume the door locks cycled when you entered "Programming Mode"?
So they are working
But when you pressed the button on the FOB nothing happened?
The Vehicle's Keyless Entry Module did not "see" the radio signal from either FOB

Just an FYI, when you entered Programming Mode ALL FOBs in memory were ERASED, this is done in case you have lost a FOB or someone(an EX) has a FOB and you don't want it to work anymore

Which FOB do you have?

Yes, it cycles through and it works the same with the old remote and the new which I bought and is separate from the key from keylessentryremotefob.comOEM-FORD-3B-RANGER

I checked the link you provided and I am doing it correctly.
So with the old and new remote when in program mode, pressing a key makes it cycle so it is kind of recognizing it... But then no buttons work when I turn the key off.

 

And Have you disconnected the battery for 5 min and then reconnected to reset all the electronics?
I would give that a try, if you haven't

If the RAP module(Ford name for keyless entry module), is going into program mode, and cycles locks when you press a button then it should work after key is off

Do the FOBs work with Key ON, after programming?
Thinking maybe its a power issue, the RAP Module should have power 24/7 but not sure which fuse it uses in 2011
It obviously has power with key on or you couldn't program it, just wondering if losing power with key OFF is the issue

Check cab fuse box, fuse 11(10amp), and fuse 35(15amp)
The 2011 doesn't have a separate RAP Module, just read that the SJB(body computer) runs the keyless entry system
SJB is in the passenger side kick panel, fuse box is part of the SJB
Pretty much everything in the SJB (smart junction box) is listed as "an un-serviceable part"

 

I saw the earlier thread about this and that is next, in fact, I have about 10 minutes of daylight (I'm old, candles tend to blow out).

 

My wife has battery operated candles...................battery operated candles, WTF???

I said hey we got flashlights, she said its not the same, I said no ****, these things don't put out any light?!!
