I have a 2012 ranger and the ashtray looks like it sits in the cup holder leaving one available cup holder. does this ashtray come out so you can use both cup holders or is it just stuck there? I dont want to try to force it out and break something.

 

Ashtray simply pulls out. Itis a friction fit and made to be removed.
The ashtray itself is inserted into a rubber like insert that can be put back into the cup holder to hold a smaller diameter cup, or left out for a larger cup.
I re inserted the rubber insert...just slips in. and use it for loose change.
