I am about to order a 2021 Ranger Lariat 4x2 CC but was hoping someone could give me some insight on the factory paint protection film option. When I google it, all I get are 3rd party options.

First, what does it cover? my guess is that at an MSRP of $345, it does not cover the full vehicle and is probably just the front bumper and maybe mirrors, but wanted specific information before making a decision.

A friend of mine installs PPF, but I would hope the factory option would be better for warranty/etc.

I want to hear any insights, as well as any opinions you guys may have, this is a large purchase and I want to be happy with it.

I am going to go with the Rapid Red color, how does it tend to stand up? Should I even worry about PPF?

I appreciate any advice or information you guys give.
