Hey y'all this is my first post but I've used this site ever since I got my ranger back in September of 2018. Anyways I fucked up while offroading which resulted in the airbags deploying. I thought I found a good deal when I saw a part out of a 2004 ranger edge and the guy said 180 for both airbags. And I really fucked up because i didn't think too run the VIN number until AFTER I bought and installed them. I still need a new RCM according to my code 19 so they are still disabled. But yeah back too the VIN. It has a recall for both airbags.. I called my local ford house and they said that unless i brought in the 2004 "donor" ranger they wouldn't be able to service the recall. I ran the VIN on my 06 and there's no recalls. How should I handle this situation? Is there a chance that they aren't defective and they'll be fine. Or am I SOL and I need to buy another pair of airbags? Please if there's any other options tell me.
