Hello fellow Ranger enthusiasts, so I'm in search of a new battery cable harness for my 2005 2.3 liter Ranger, and I'm looking for part #4L5Z-14300-BA but can't seem to find any parts online as they say they are discontinued or just plain old unavailable. I hit up the ford parts website and it says the part is obsolete or probably invalid part #. Are there any alternatives to harnesses or do I have to stick to the original part, what I mean by this is can I find another part that is possibly compatible?

 

Try different Ford dealers, out of your state, local, ect.
Many may still have your cable on their shelves as NOS parts (New-Old Stock)
My 2009 is in the same boat as yours, should I need one (don't at this time), but even though Ford doesn't carry one anymore, several dealers way out of my area still have them in stock.
Just keep trying.
