Lifting my ranger

Hello I’m new here and I wanted to know what lift is best for a 2001 Ford ranger. I’ve never gotten a log kit before and every time I find one online it says it’s not compatible with my truck any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the site. There are tons of options to lift these trucks. Some more info about what you drive would be helpful. Is it 4x4 or 4x2? What are your end of the day goals with the truck? I see you posted here in the body lift section. Is that what you're wanting to do?

+1 ^^^

There are 2 methods to "lift" a vehicle
Body Lift or suspension lift

All bodys sit on the frame on "rubber" mounts, you can insert bigger/taller mounts and longer bolts and that Lifts the body higher off the frame
You can "usually" lift 2" without too much trouble, if you want more than that then some of the wiring between body and frame needs to be dealt with, also steering wheel shaft
You don't get more ground clearance, so this is more for "looks" or larger tires
Body lift will also cause a larger gap between bumper(on frame) and body

Suspensions lifts cost alot more but give you more ground clearance plus the "look" with larger tires
The front is where most of the money goes as rear lift can be done with blocks, but better leaf springs in the rear would be best
And as said above 2wd or 4x4 would be different for suspension lift, for body lift it doesn't matter
