Quick photo please help me out

Just bought my first ranger long story short I think some bs happen was supposed to be 3.0 turns out to be 4.0 but it's odd compared to what I've seen thus far. Anyway I really need someone with close to stock to take close up photos of where upper intake meets lower intake on pass side for me I will post pictures of mine in the morning. I need to know if a little bit of the lower intake port should be showing along with a shiny silver surface which my brain tells me it's wrong

Perhaps the 4.0l OHV was modified during its production life.
Get a picture of a '93 just in case there were changes.

Welcome to the forum

1991 to 1994 3.0l will have a distributor, no mistaking that, 4.0l never had a distributor in any year

8th Digit in VIN will have the engine size from factory
U = 3.0l
X = 4.0l

4.0l will have its coil pack mounted on passenger side lower intake so lower intake is not really exposed on that side
4.0l fuel rail is sandwiched in between lower and upper intake, upper intake is bolted down by 6 studs with star nuts on them
