2007 Gauge Cluster Bulbs

So I've asked this on another site and I'm not getting an answer. I need to replace a couple bulbs in my gauge cluster and can't find the correct size. I would like to swap them all to LED. Some sites say they are T5 bulbs while others say they are T10 bulbs and I've been told that from 2004 and up they are different than my 2003. I've also been told that the bulbs are now integrated into the circuit board and I'd have to replace the whole cluster! So does anyone have any idea what size bulbs I need for my 2007 Ranger? I don't really want to take it all apart only to find the bulbs I bought don't fit. It's not a hard job but it takes some time and getting the Gear Indicator cable back on is a pain in the butt! Thanks for any help you can give!

Yes, thru 2003 the Clusters were analog

In 2004 Rangers got Digital clusters, HEC

Most indicator bulbs are LED in these, but the 6 back light bulbs still look to be incandescent, but LEDs could be used

The 2721 bulbs are the size for the 2004 and up Ranger Clusters, they come with or without the socket

You can also get them as LEDs, but make sure they all work before installing cluster as LEDs can have a + and - direction, so if a bulb is not on just reverse it and it will come on

T20 and 2721 are different than all the other numbers I've found. I'm thinking I will just have to pull it apart to figure it out. My High Beam Indicator light does not work and the lower right side of my tach is out. I'm thinking these are two different kinds of bulbs. I know there are Indicator bulbs and there are the Back-Light bulbs. I thought they were all the same in my 2003 but maybe I only replaced the Back-Light bulbs. It's been a while since I did it. After I pull it apart and figure it out I will post the info.

2007 Cluster diagram below

The 6 back lights, turn signals, battery light and high beam seem to be the only incandescent bulbs in these 2004+ clusters
Every other bulb is LED as shown by -.>|- label

Ford sells these light bulbs at $20-$35 a piece, so they rarely publish what size they use, info comes from "been there done that, got the T-shirt" accounts

2721 is one size reported as direct replacement, maybe $3 each, should work for all 10 listed above, 6, 2, 1, 1

Have seen 2721 in a few threads, one is here for a 2008 Ranger: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...-bulbs-135284/

I was in the area, well driving right by, the Ford dealership so I decided to stop in and ask. The 2721 bulbs are correct but not LED. The guy was nice enough to look it up for me and said it looks like the LED equivalent is T5. Some of the lights in the cluster are LED and are intergrated in the circuit board like the Tire Pressure Warning Light, which I wanted to remove. (LOL) The funny thing is, when I talked to someone at Superbright they said the only bulbs they carried for my interior were the Dome and Map lights which are the same. But, the guy at the dealership found these and these. So finally, problem solved. Someone should add this info to a sticky or tech thread.

So the LED 74 Bulbs I got from SuperBright.com fit perfect! I opted for the 3 LED bulb, because they were actually cheaper, and they look great! I was worried they might be too bright but they are not.. They are dimmable but not as much as the incandescent bulbs. Unfortunately there was nothing I could do about the annoying Tire Pressure indicator. The whole cluster would need to be disassembled to get to it and it doesn't bother me enough to go through that hassle! So if someone wants to add this information to a tech bulletin or a sticky that would be good. Save some others the headache of searching for them.
Tech Info
