Attaching custom accessories to roof rails?

Hi all,

First post here.
I recently bought a new 2022 Ranger XLT as my new work truck, and I'm in the process of building it out, and I'm wondering if anybody here knows if anybody makes and sells clips or clamps to attach stuff to the cab roof rails. I made a little drawing of what I'm thinking.

I made a ladder rack for the truck (custom build, welded out of 1.5" stainless steel square tube) which is working out great, except that because I made it to extend juuuuuuust over the cab roof (less than an inch in the center), it makes a TON of noise over 35mph. It needs an air dam to divert the air over the front edge to eliminate the noise (I've tested this and it does work).

I'd like to attach the air dam to the cab roof rails rather than to the rack itself (so that it won't scratch/scrape the cab roof when the cab moves in relation to the rack, which it will do on bumps). I just need some sort of clip or clamp to attach to the roof rails. Maybe the drawing will explain better than I can.

I'd rather avoid any kind of clamp that extends down into the door jamb.
This is not going to be under much stress or need much strength...

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Chris

My concern would be anything you attach to the cab may get pushed into something you've got on the rack (lumber, pipe, ladder etc) if you drive into a frame twist.

I'd also recommend you add some vertical posts at the intersections of the rack to keep said lumber, pipe, ladder etc from sliding off when going around a corner.

I would jut use 2 of the rubber suction cups to stabilize the front section:
Amazon Amazon

Or the clamps that go inside door edge

Not sure if that trim piece would stay in place if used to hold a rack, it is bolt on inside the cab I believe
