I really don't want to spend $2500 rebuiilding my transmission. If I replace the defective part that's bad ( Torque Converter Seal) the cost would be around $1k. The truck has 138k miles on it. And there's no issue with the transmission at all, except the heavy leak. What would you guys do, spring for $2500 or $1000?

You left a trail of tranny fluid for blocks towing your boat. I'm sure the damage was done to the tranny.

The tranny is fine. It leaked by my house.
No damage done, it's just the leak.

Fixed the tranny leak, so far so good. He replaced some seals and gaskets. $800.
