Driver side WINDOW won't work
Electrical windows was a small noise coming from under the steering wheel somewhere when I pushed the up button when it was already up. Now it don't make a sound and just don't work. The passenger side window works. Need some steps to take could u tube it but I did this for another problem and this works great. Please help and thanks.
Should include the Year of the Ranger with any questions, as electrical systems changed over the years

Replace Master drivers door switch as the first thing or test it if you have a multi-meter and feel comfortable doing that kind of testing with OHM meter
Switches will wear out, and drivers door window switch is the one that used the most
Windows can "jam" at the top, motor torques the window all the way up and can't pull it back down, need to pull the door panel and try and relieve the upward pressure
You can also try
Key on
Down window button pressed
Tap hard on the door just below window on the inside
Or slam the door, lol
The clicking under the dash was the One Touch relay module that is used on drivers door window only, it would be activated by the switch, so if switch is bad...................
Its possible the module failed, but not as likely as a switch failure
The fact that the passenger side window works means the drivers door has a good ground and the Power Window Safety relay is working OK
2nd thing to check after the switch
Power window motor on drivers side, 2nd thing that can wear out, but you still should hear that click under the dash if motor died
