Hey I noticed a squeak/chirp noise coming from my ranger whenever its started after it was sitting for about a day or so. This is a pretty new thing starting only about 2 days ago, it drives perfectly fine and no noise at all while driving or when started up warm. The noise seems to be coming from the front driver side kinda area.

 

Any "squeak/chirp" is almost completely buried by the "purr/clatter"
What I think I'm hearing is an accessory pully telling you how old (and dry) it is on a cold day.

 

A little while ago the battery light would flicker occasionally but that hasn't happened recently could that be related ?

 

Note the temperature.
Have a 'stethoscope' ready to listen around when next you hear it.
Check what you can otherwise. Overnight battery voltage, charging voltage, fully loaded test.
