83 ranger 2.8l, can’t get the fuel filter off of the carburetor

83 ranger 2.8l, can’t get the fuel filter off of the carburetor
I can’t get this lil guy off I’ve tried loosening it slowly with an impact a couple times, tried a wrench and nothing any advice? Pretty new to vehicle mechanics
