Spacer Lift Kit for 2011 Ford Ranger
Spacer Lift Kit for 2011 Ford Ranger
WULF 2.5" Front 1" Rear Leveling Lift Kit compatible with 1998-2012 Ford Ranger 2WD with Coil Spring Suspension
I have a 2011 ford ranger 2wd with a 4 cylinder. I'm looking at a wolf 2.5" front and 1" rear spacer style leveling lift kit so I can install bigger wheels and tires. This kit shows up on amazon. This is a spacer style front lift kit and block style rear. Can this forum share pros/cons and recommendations for this type of lift kits? I don't have many options with the 2wd.
Will I need to compress the coil spring some to make assembly of the upper control arm ball joint and the spindle assembly easier if I install a spacer between the coil spring and the lower control arm. I'm thinking about how far the upper control arm will need to rotate down to install the pinch bolt. I do understand the upper control arm will need to rotate down more with the spacer installed.
Can I get the spring compression clamps installed on the coil spring with the spring and spacer installed to reinstall the pinch bolt assembly. Compressing the spring an inch or 1.5 inches would make reassembly easier. I do have some physical access to the spring when installed. I don't know if I have enough room to get two clamps installed. I'm thinking about a trial or dry run to install the clamps before I disassemble to install the spacers. I do understand the upper control arm will need to rotate down more with the spacer installed.
Do I need to buy and install a modified upper control arm that will provide additional reach to allow installation of the pinch bolt?
