No power at the Inertia Switch

Ok folks - had a chaffed connector and replaced it wire for wire, and now there is no power to the Inertia switch. Just to make sure I put a light on it, and then checked it with my multi-meter. No bueno.

Before I take this stuff all apart. I have tested the fuel pump by direct wiring it - it was fine. I have looked at the voltage coming out of the fuse box when the relay is enabled and it checks out. I re-verified the wire in the fuse box wasn't broken, but I get headlights (same postive circuit) but no fuel pump.

With key on engine off, you'll only have power at the inertia switch for about 2 seconds.

That is true, but the light should flick on and off or the meter should show a change - as I am watching it - nothing.

Yes, and I should have a blip or a blink when it flips over. Like I said - the fuel pump don't run - and I straight shot that to the battery - and it's fine.
