Always somethin
Always somethin
Hello,
I have a 2000 ford ranger XLT 4.0 with 197k
recently my head gaskets blew. I replaced them along with intake, and various archer intake exhaust gaskets.
the trucks start up a little rough like it has to push past something but once it does it runs smooth and idles smooth besides the popping noise from the exhaust bolts needing to be added as I lost some. Once I put it in drive, reverse or 1, 2 and AC on it bogs down and makes a bad shake/ clicking noise. If it's in neutral it's fine (obviously no load) I've replaced the MAF, IAC and throttle position sensor with zero luck. Only vacuum line leading to the "ball looking vacuum line assembly was ripped in half temporarily I've taped it back up until I get a new line. Also, spark plugs are brand new
before the head gasket change the truck ran smooth. No issues besides the small head gasket leak.. then lead to it blowing. Thanks for any help! Really don't wanna tow it to the dealer for a diagnostic if I can help it.
