Trying to restore a 2011 ford ranger I inherited, 99% sure the transmission is gone and will need replacing but im not sure why im not getting data from any of the speed sensors reliably, its also 280k on the truck and its second transmission, but its a florida car so no rust of corrosion
Symptoms
Shifting from P to D you can wait 2-3m for the trans to actually pick up, and reverse takes about 1m to select then falls out of gear after a few feet, fluid is overfull slightly but clean, no check engine light and no odd sounds.
Im not getting any signal from the input, output, or turbine shaft speed sensors. the first time I checked I was getting a reading but it would drop to 0 changing gears, replacing the sensor DY1206 ontop of the transmission, the output was 0rpm all the time even swapping in the original sensor it continued to read 0rpm
Disconnected and reconnected all the wires at the PCM, I wasnt getting a good positive at the fuse box so I cleaned that up, all the fuses and relays were within spec
(Checking the two replacement DY1206 sensors were around 70ohm) before clearing codes but after disconnecting the PCM after clearing codes
