. Kind of a nightmare....engine swap, original 4x4, guy cuts harness in half because replacement comes with harness. Replacement out of 2x4 so harness is slightly different. Another guy splices cut harness back together and it works.....until timing chains fail....months later, after some new parts and a mixture of both broken engines the truck runs again. But now the tranny isn't working right and speedo isn't working... symptoms strongly suggest vss. But I suspect it's more likely that one of the wires that were spliced together in the loom failed and the more its handled, more splices will fail. So what I'd like to do for now, is bypass the loom for vss wiring. How simple is that?
