What type of prep work should I do for adhering gaskets to spray in bed line? I just picked up a used tonneau cover for new gen ranger with a factory spray in liner. I need to attach a gasket to the front of the bed to fill the gap. Should I sand the spray in bed liner before adhering the gasket? thanks

 

The best treatment would be to grit blast it, but most people don't have that kind of equipment. Sanding is a good choice too. Then solvent wipe with Acetone. For the best bond, follow up with isopropyl alcohol and wipe dry with a very clean cloth. An Acetone wipe alone will work pretty well too.
